Non-EU citizens without a stay permit
If you are a non-EU citizen, do not live in Italy and you do not have a stay permit/permanent residence card in Italy, you must have an entry visa. Upon your arrival in Italy you shall also submit a request for a stay permit for study reasons.
Please be reminded to submit your request for a stay permit within 8 working days from your arrival in Italy at the local “Questura” (Police Headquarter). The Central Doctorate Office will assist you with the submission of your request of the stay permit.
In the case the stay permit (copy) will not be provided, all university services will be unavailable to you.
Non-EU citizens with a valid stay permit
If you are a non-EU citizen with a valid stay permit/permanent residence card in Italy, you must provide copy of the scanned copy of your valid stay permit/permanent residence card in Italy (or copy of the acknowledgment of receipt provided by the Immigration Office of the Police Headquarter in Florence).
Please be reminded to submit your request for the renewal of your stay permit at least 2 months before the expiring date. The Central Doctorate Office will assist you with the submission of your request of the stay permit.
